If you have a disposition and can get along easily with all kinds of people, you can consider a career in the cabin crew of commercial planes as an air hostess or steward. An air hostess has many responsibilities on a plane. She greets every passenger, guides each to his or her seat and settles them in, coordinates security, and much more. Women usually prefer this career although men can do the same job and are called ‘stewards’.
Studying and skill development is a constant thing in this career, especially if you’re angling for promotions. After about 10 years as an air hostess, you would be moved to jobs such as Ground Hostess, Check Hostess, or other airline related jobs.
International airlines pay better than domestic ones, but even domestic air hostesses earn about Rs.25000 – Rs. 40000. In senior positions you can be paid up to Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 75,000 in domestic airlines. Private airlines might pay you Rs.2 lakh a month.
Air hostess training is not mandatory or essential to get into this profession. Self-preparation is needed. However, some institutes have come up in India and are offering trainings to develop basic skills required for the profession.

Travel & Tourism Management
The tourism and hospitality industries in India are increasingly emerging as among the key contributors to the economy. Tourism constitutes about 6% of India's GDP and employs more than 40 million people.
So if you have the passion to travel and love interacting with people, you can build your career in this industry. You will learn managerial skills, problem-solving, efficient communication, and principles and practices required in the travel and hospitality sectors.
Job opportunities are myriad for students with an MBA in Tourism Management. You can work as a Hotel or Resort Manager, Assistant Manager, General Manager, Food and Beverage Director, Front Office Manager, Human Resource Manager, Conference or Convention or Event Planner, Travel Agent, Group Travel Facilitator, Travel Writer, Travel Photographer, and so on. Sectors which will be eager to employ you, are travel agencies, tour operators, airports, airlines, hotel and related hospitality industry, international and national food chains, hospital and institutional catering, food craft institutes, ships and cruise lines, state tourism development corporations, resorts or spas, facilities management service, event facilitation, transport or logistics, and adventure tourism and entrepreneurship.
